Specter MCP usage is metered in tool calls. Every call your AI client makes to a Specter MCP tool draws against a daily allowance. Once that runs out, you can either draw on your team's API credits or wait for the allowance to reset the next day.

Every user gets 100 tool calls per day. Within that allowance, each call counts as one, whatever the tool, so a free tool and a paid one draw the same single call. The allowance resets every day.

Once you have used your 100 calls for the day, what happens next depends on your team's settings:

Your AI client will tell you when you have reached the limit.

Note: The API credits can only be enabled a workspace admin account.

A workspace admin can allow calls beyond the daily allowance to draw from your team's API credit pool. Turn on Use API credits for MCP requests in your MCP settings. Only an admin can change this.

With it on, each call past the daily allowance costs the credits shown below. With it off, those calls are declined until the next day.

Your MCP settings show your team's usage for the billing period: tool calls and credits per member, and a live log of recent calls with the tool, who ran it, what it cost.

These costs apply only to calls beyond your daily allowance, when extra usage is enabled. Within the 100 daily allowance, every call counts as one regardless of the tool.
