How to connect Specter with Airtable

  1. First, connect Specter to Zapier. Access step-by-step here.

  2. Click on Add a step, search for Airtable in the action menu, and select it.

  3. Choose your desired action event.

  4. For first timers connecting to Airtable, grant Zapier access to specific bases and workspaces you wish to connect to.

  5. Once signed in, choose the Base, Table, and Columns for the action event.

  6. Now, you are ready to decide how to handle your data. Below find a few standard Zapier templates:

Supported Events

Through Zapier we support a number of events for Airtable.

Create

Create or Update Record (Most Recommended)

Updates an existing record if one exists, otherwise creates a new record.

Note: For the Lookup logic, the fields below are best to use when matching against an existing record:

  1. For Talent signals:

    1. LinkedIn URL - Talent

    2. Signal Date (as First Lookup Field) and Name (as Secondary Lookup Field)

    3. Other combinations for other use cases

  2. For Strategic Intelligence signals:

    1. Website (as First Lookup Field) and LinkedIn - URL (as Secondary Lookup Field)

    2. Website (as First Lookup Field) and Name (as Secondary Lookup Field)

    3. Other combinations for other use cases

Create Record

Creates a new record with auto-populating fields.

Create Records (With Line item Support)

Creates up to 10 multiple new records with the line item input.

Update

Update Record

Update the values of specific cells in an Airtable record.
