Finding Strategic by Industry

In Strategic Signals, you can filter by Industries (not Sub-Industries) to find companies and founders building startups in certain spaces. The Industry column in our taxonomy table breaks down each category you can filter by in this feed.

The Industry filter is relevant to someone's new position, rather than being focused on their prior roles and background. As such, keep in mind that for Strategic Signals whose Signal Type is Talent (not Company), and for any at the Pre-Launch Growth Stage, filtering by Industry could preclude you from seeing compelling profiles. This is because they may not yet have disclosed the nature of the business they working on, so it's not always possible to accurately determine the industry classification of the individual.

Take the below signal as an example of someone who is building a stealth startup in an undisclosed industry, at the time of writing. Given their experience in crypto and Web3, they could be building something in that domain given their expertise. Filtering by the Blockchain and Crypto Industry filter wouldn't surface this profile, however, so if you need to search for signals by industry, it's also helpful to look at Talent / Pre-Launch signals more agnostically alongside this approach.

Get in touch with us if you would like to build any searches focused on finding the Strategic Signals most relevant to you. We can also help you create searches targeting specific funds of interest, for example those that are specialist investors and likely to be showing 'interest' in founders and companies in your fields of interest.
