Short version: your content stays yours, and you must own everything you sell. βοΈ
You keep your rights β
Selling content on Spenny Piggy doesn't transfer ownership to us. Your work is yours. We host it, deliver it, and take payment for it β we don't own it and we don't claim rights over it.
Take something down, close your account, move on β it's still your work.
What you must own before listing π
β
You created it, or you have a licence permitting resale
β
Everyone appearing in it consented, and is over 18
β
No music you don't have rights to β this catches more creators than anything else
β
No footage, images, fonts or designs you aren't licensed for
β
No brand logos or trademarked material without permission
β οΈ "I found it online" is not ownership. Neither is "I credited them."
Music, specifically π΅
The single most common rights problem on any creator platform.
Using a track in a video you're selling is a commercial use β different rules from posting to social. A song that's fine on Instagram can become a copyright claim the moment you charge for the video it's in.
Use properly licensed music, or content you have explicit commercial rights to. Royalty-free doesn't always mean commercially free β read the licence. π§
What supporters get π
When someone buys your content they get a personal licence to view and keep it. Not ownership, not resale rights, not permission to redistribute.
They can: view it, download it, keep it permanently β
βThey can't: resell it, redistribute it, post it publicly, or claim it as theirs β
Stated at purchase, and enforceable.
If your work is stolen π¨
Someone's reselling it on Spenny Piggy β report it through the chat, flagged urgent, with the listing and proof it's yours. One of the fastest routes to a suspension on this platform.
Someone's posted it elsewhere β outside our platform, but you're the rights holder and can issue a takedown to the host. We'll provide your records β timestamps, upload dates, delivery logs β as evidence of when you created and published it. π
Someone's impersonating you β report immediately. See Impersonation & Reporting π¨π·.
Protecting yourself π‘
β
Keep your originals β raw files, project files, higher-resolution versions
β
Your upload timestamps are evidence. They prove when you had it.
β
Watermark previews, not the paid version
β
Never deliver off-platform β you lose the delivery record, and the record is your proof
β
Keep your licences for any third-party material
Common questions π€
"Can I sell the same content elsewhere too?"
Yes. It's yours. We don't ask for exclusivity.
"What if a supporter shares my content?"
Report it β they've breached the licence. We'll act on the account and support you against the host.
"Can I use AI-generated content?"
You must have the rights to what you sell and be able to stand behind it. Check the terms of whatever tool you used β many restrict commercial use.
"Someone's using my photo on their profile."
Report it as impersonation, with proof. π¨
TL;DR π―
Your content stays yours β we don't claim ownership
You must own or be licensed for everything you list
Music is the big one. Commercial use needs a commercial licence. π΅
Supporters get a personal licence β not resale rights
Stolen work? Report it. Your upload records are your evidence. π
Own it, list it, keep it. βοΈπ·
