Why we bother 🛡️
Stolen cards are the biggest fraud risk on any creator platform.
Someone uses a stolen card, buys content, and weeks later the real cardholder disputes it. The creator loses the money, pays a dispute fee, and takes a hit against their account. They did nothing wrong — they just delivered content to a criminal.
The £1 check stops that at the door. 🚪
It protects you too. If someone tries to use your card here, they don't get past verification. 🐷
Why it isn't refundable 🚫
Because the check is carried out, by a person, whether or not you go on to buy anything. The £1 pays for the work — it isn't held on account or credited against a purchase.

When it's charged ⏰
At account creation, before your account is approved to spend.
⏰ Verification is reviewed 11am–6pm GMT, seven days a week. Sign up outside those hours and it'll be picked up in the next window. Approvals sometimes happen outside them, but don't count on it.

"Is this a subscription?"
No. One-off, on account creation only.
"Will it come off my first purchase?"
No. It pays for the verification check itself.
"Do I pay it again on a new card?"
No. Per account, not per card.
"My verification failed — do I get the £1 back?"
The check was still carried out, so no. If you think it failed in error, message us and we'll look at it. 💬
"Why is my card being charged before I've bought anything?"
That's the verification. Your account is approved to spend once it clears.
"Is my card safe?"
Yes. Details are handled by our payment processor, encrypted, and never stored by us — and never visible to the creator. 🔐
"How long does approval take?"
Usually within the same review window. If it's been more than a couple of days, message us. 💬
