Tips run on USDC, which is dollar-denominated. Using USD as the base means one consistent currency regardless of where the supporter or the creator is.
The dollar amount is the authoritative one. It's what's charged, and what's recorded.
What about my local currency? 🌍
You may see an approximate local figure alongside the dollar amount, for convenience.
⚠️ It's indicative. The transaction you're approving is the dollar amount. A UK supporter sending a $100 Tip might see roughly £X displayed — but it's a $100 Tip.
The exchange rate is locked at the point of the transaction and recorded, so there's no drift between what you approved and what's on the ledger. 🔒
