Splash NCAAB: Understanding Double Picks for Day 7 & Day 8

Updated over 3 weeks ago

In Splash survivor contests, the Round of 8 (also known as the "Elite 8") introduces unique pick-selection rules. This guide will clarify the rules for days 7 and 8 and highlight key considerations to help you navigate this important phase of the contest.

1. Combine Days 7 & 8 Option (New)

Commissioners can combine the Round of 8 (Days 7 & 8) into a single slate, giving entrants more flexibility. When enabled, entrants choose two teams from either day—they can pick one team each day, both teams on Day 7, or both teams on Day 8.

What Entrants See:

  • The 2 games played on Days 7 and 8 (4 in total) will be displayed on the same picksheet

  • To advance to Day 9, players must make correct pick(s) across both days

Available in: Pick by Day only (NOT available in Pick by Round)

2. Double Pick Days/Rounds

Commissioners can require entrants to make two picks on specific slates.

Options by Template:

  • Pick by Day: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, or Day 7+8 (only if combining these days is enabled)

  • Pick by Round: Round of 64, Round of 32, Round of 16, Round of 8, or Round of 4

Available in: Both Pick by Day and Pick by Round (with different slate options)
