The Combine Days 7 & 8 option gives commissioners and entrants more flexibility during the later stages of the NCAAB tournament. Below are answers to the most common questions about how this option works and what to expect.

Is the Combine Days 7 & 8 option available for all contest formats?

No. The Combine Days 7 & 8 option is only available in Pick-By-Day contests.

  • ✅ Available in: Pick-By-Day

  • ❌ Not available in: Pick-By-Round

This option cannot be enabled for Pick-By-Round contests.


How many picks are required when Days 7 & 8 are combined?

Entrants must make two total picks across Days 7 and 8 in order to advance.

Those two picks can be made in any of the following ways:

  • One pick from Day 7 and one pick from Day 8

  • Two picks from Day 7

  • Two picks from Day 8


What games will appear on the picksheet?

When Days 7 & 8 are combined:

  • All four games played across both days will appear on one picksheet

  • Entrants select their picks from this single combined slate


Do entrants have to make one pick each day?

No. Entrants are not required to make one pick per day.

As long as two total picks are submitted from the combined slate, entrants can choose how to distribute their picks across Days 7 and 8.


What happens if one pick is correct and one pick is incorrect?

To advance to Day 9, entrants must make the required correct pick(s) across Days 7 and 8.

If an entrant fails to meet the required number of correct picks, they will be eliminated from the contest.


Can entrants wait until Day 8 to make both picks?

Yes. Entrants may choose to:

  • Make both picks on Day 7

  • Make both picks on Day 8

  • Split picks across both days

As long as the required number of picks is submitted before games lock, any of these approaches are valid.


Does combining Days 7 & 8 affect earlier or later days?

No. The Combine Days 7 & 8 option only impacts Days 7 and 8.

All other days in the contest will follow the standard Pick-By-Day format.


Where can commissioners enable this option?

Commissioners can enable or disable the Combine Days 7 & 8 option during the contest creation flow. The toggle appears below the schedule selection and is turned off by default.
