You can deactivate or permanently delete your Splash Sports account at any time. Here's how each option works and what to do before taking action.
Before You Close Your Account
Withdraw your balance first — make sure your Splash wallet is at $0 before closing. See Withdrawals on Splash Sports.
Withdraw from active contests — if you're in any open contests, withdraw your entries before closing your account.
Deactivating Your Account (Temporary)
Deactivating makes your account inactive but keeps your data intact. You can reactivate any time.
Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Splash app.
Select My Splash Account.
Navigate to Login and Account Settings.
Click or tap the Deactivate Account button and follow the prompts to confirm your action.
To reactivate a deactivated account, email support@splashsports.com.
Permanently Deleting Your Account
Permanent deletion removes your account and personal data, subject to legal data retention requirements. This cannot be undone.
Email support@splashsports.com with your account email and a request to permanently delete your account. Our team will confirm once it's done.
Note: Once a paid account is permanently deleted, the same email and personal details cannot be used to create a new Splash account.
What Happens to Your Data
Some data may be retained for a limited period to comply with applicable laws and fraud prevention requirements. Retained data is anonymized or encrypted and is never used for marketing or shared with third parties. See the Splash Sports Privacy Policy for full details. Retained data may also be stored separately from active user data for added security.
Common Questions
What's the difference between deactivating and deleting? Deactivating is reversible — your data is preserved. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.
Can I use the same email for a new account after deleting? No — once a paid account is deleted, that email and identity cannot be used to create a new Splash account.
Can I just take a break instead? Yes — consider using a self-imposed timeout through Responsible Gaming settings instead of closing your account entirely. What if I have multiple accounts? If you have more than one Splash account, you can request to delete one account while keeping the other active. Specify which account to delete and which to retain when making your request. What if my account has been merged with other accounts? If your Splash account has been merged with other accounts (e.g., OFP or RYP accounts), only the merged account will remain active. You can request to delete specific accounts if needed.
