Why You May Be Matched with Entrants Whose Picks Have Already Started or Finished in QuickPicks

Updated over 3 months ago

Thank you for reaching out! Here’s what to know if you're matched with players who have picks that have already been scored in a QuickPicks contest:

👥 How Matching Works in QuickPicks

Entrants are matched into groups based on:

  • The number of picks in their entry

  • The entry fee selected

Because matches are made based on these two factors—not the timing of the picks—it’s possible you’ll be placed into a group where other entrants have picks that started earlier in the slate.

🕒 Why You See Opponents with Completed Picks

If you’re matched with an opponent whose picks have already been scored, it doesn’t mean the contest is over or that you’ve lost.

Even if another entrant has all correct picks already, they haven’t officially won yet—because:

  • You and others in the group still have a chance to match or beat their score

  • The contest outcome is only finalized once all entries have been fully scored

💡 Why This Happens

QuickPicks is a new product, and while we continue to grow the player base and expand into more sports, scenarios like this may still happen occasionally. As the platform evolves, we expect these instances to become less common.
