Auto-picks automatically submit a pick for an entry if no pick is made before the weekly deadline. This prevents unintended eliminations for missed weeks.
How Auto-Picks Work
If a participant doesn't submit a pick before the deadline and auto-picks are enabled, the system automatically selects a team based on the participant's configured strategy (or the contest default if none is selected).
Common strategies include selecting the largest available home or away favorite.
If auto-picks are turned off and a member misses the deadline, they are eliminated (or lose a life, in contests with multiple lives).
Participants who miss the entry deadline cannot join the contest or make picks in future weeks.
On the standings page, any pick submitted via auto-pick will display an "A" next to the pick.
For Commissioners: Enable & Configure Auto-Picks
Enable auto-picks during contest creation, or go to Commissioner tab → Active → Manage → Contest Settings
Toggle Auto-picks ON
Click Edit settings to set the maximum number of auto-picks per entry
Save your changes
💡 Once an entry reaches the max auto-pick limit, auto-picks stop for that entry — any further missed deadlines will result in elimination.
Commissioners cannot modify individual participant auto-pick settings.
Commissioners can revive participants in self-managed contests after a missed pick by using the 'Revivals' option in the Entrants Manager.
⚠️ Once the contest starts, the auto-picks on/off toggle is locked. But entrants can still update their auto-pick strategy before each weekly deadline.
For Entrants: Choose Your Auto-Pick Strategy
Open the contest and click Make Picks
Tap the three dots (…) in the top-right corner
Select Auto-pick settings
Choose your preferred strategy and Save
Your strategy applies to all entries you have in that contest and can be changed at any time before the weekly deadline.
