What Can Be Edited — And When

The settings available to edit depend on where you are in the contest lifecycle:

  • No entries yet — Most settings can be edited freely, including scoring rules, pick settings, entry limits, and payout structure

  • Entries submitted, contest not yet started — Limited settings can be changed. Contest size can only be increased. Some settings like scoring rules and revival rules become locked.

  • After the pick deadline or contest has started — Most settings are locked to protect contest integrity. No retroactive changes to scoring or deadlines are possible.

Settings You Can Customize

Depending on your contest format, customizable settings may include:

  • Contest name and description — update your title or add custom rules in the description field

  • Entry deadline — the cutoff for new participants joining

  • Pick deadline — when picks lock each week (editable for the following week while a contest is live)

  • Entry lives — how many losses before elimination (Survivor contests)

  • Team use limit — how many times a team can be picked

  • Auto-picks — whether missed picks are auto-filled

  • Spectator mode — contact support@splashsports.com to enable this

  • Chat on/off
