“You’re Early” Message on Pick Sheet (Splash-Managed NCAAB Contests)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you see the message:

“You’re early — This pick sheet is not yet available. Check again later.”

Don’t worry — nothing is wrong with your entry.

This simply means the pick sheet for that slate (day or round) has not opened yet.

Why Am I Seeing This?

In Splash-managed NCAAB contests, pick sheets only become available when:

  • The slate (day or round) is officially active

  • The tournament schedule for that slate is finalized

  • The commissioner’s configured timing allows picks to open

If you attempt to view or edit picks before that slate opens, you will see the “You’re early” message.

When Will Picks Be Available?

Pick sheets typically open:

  • After the previous slate locks (for Survivor contests)

  • When matchups are finalized

  • Within the contest’s scheduled timeline

For multi-day contests, you may see tabs across the top such as:

  • Day 1

  • Day 2

  • Day 3

  • Day 7 + 8

  • Round of 32

  • Round of 16

If you click into a future slate before it opens, the system will display the early message.

What Should I Do?

There is no action required.

Simply:

  • Check back closer to the slate start time

  • Ensure you’ve completed picks for the current active slate

  • Confirm your entry is active and not eliminated (for Survivor)

Important Notes for Survivor Contests

If you are in a Survivor contest:

  • Future rounds will not open until you successfully advance

  • If you have been eliminated and do not have remaining lives or buybacks, future pick sheets will not be accessible

Entry & Pick Deadlines

Remember:

  • Picks lock based on your contest’s Pick Deadline setting

    • Each Game Start

    • First Game of Slate

    • First Game of Round

  • You cannot submit picks after they lock

If you’re unsure when your next slate opens, review the Contest Details page for:

  • Entry Deadline

  • Pick Deadline

  • Slate schedule

Summary

Seeing “You’re early” means:

  • The slate has not opened yet

  • Matchups may not be finalized

  • The contest timeline hasn’t reached that round

It does not mean:

  • Your entry failed

  • Your picks were removed

  • There is an account issue
