Grid Title
Enter a custom name for your grid (example: 2026 March Madness Main Grid).
This is the title members will see when selecting squares.
If restarting from a previous year, simply update the contest name accordingly.
Grid Begins In
You can choose when your grid will begin:
First Round (63 games)
Second Round (31 games)
Sweet 16 (15 games)
Elite 8 (7 games)
Final Four (3 games)
Championship (1 game)
Important Notes
The grid will cover all games from your selected starting round through the National Championship.
The First Four (Play-In) games are NOT included and cannot be added.
Once a member selects a square, you cannot edit the starting round unless:
You remove all selected squares, and
The grid is completely empty.
Number of Squares on Grid
Choose from:
100 Squares
50 Squares
25 Squares
Each square represents a unique score combination (0–9).
Members select from the available squares based on your chosen grid size.
⚠️ Once squares are selected, structural changes may require clearing the grid.
Axis Numbers on the Grid
Randomly Assigned
Numbers 0–9 are randomly assigned to both axes.
This ensures fairness and prevents strategic selection based on known numbers.
Custom Assigned
Commissioners manually enter the X (top) and Y (side) axis numbers.
Axis numbers will display once the grid is ready to be locked.
Axis Labels
You can choose how the axes are defined:
Winner on Top Axis, Loser on Side Axis
Top (horizontal) axis = Winning team’s final score (last digit)
Side (vertical) axis = Losing team’s final score (last digit)
For each game:
Take the last digit of the winning team’s score.
Take the last digit of the losing team’s score.
Match those digits to determine the winning square.
Better Seed on Top Axis, Worse Seed on Side Axis
Top (horizontal) axis = Better seed (lower seed number)
Side (vertical) axis = Worse seed (higher seed number)
Seed position determines axis placement — not game outcome.
Maximum Squares Per Member
Options include:
Unlimited
1 through 10 squares per member
This setting controls how many squares each participant may claim.
Number Each Pickable Square (1–100)
When enabled:
Each square displays a number (1–100).
Helps members easily reference selections.
Square numbers are for organization only and do not impact scoring.
Show Axis Numbers Now & Lock Grid
Selecting this option will:
Reveal randomized or custom axis numbers.
Lock the grid to prevent further structural changes.
Finalize the grid for scoring.
⚠️ Once locked, axis numbers and grid structure cannot be modified.
Winning Squares
Winning squares are automatically tallied for each game.
Results can be viewed anytime by scrolling below the grid.
Each game produces one winning square.
Final standings are determined by total winning squares accumulated.
Deleting a Grid
Deleting a grid can only be done, when the grid is completely empty (no picks) and when the round has not started.
