Where to Find Scoring Settings

To access your scoring configuration:

  1. Open the Commissioner Console

  2. Select Pool Settings

  3. Click Scoring Settings

Here you can view and adjust how points are awarded for correct picks.

How Scoring Works

Scoring is organized by tournament round. Participants earn points for each correct pick based on the round in which the game is played.

You can customize:

  • The number of points awarded for each round

  • How scoring increases as the tournament progresses

  • The overall balance between early and late rounds

Customize Points by Round

Each round has its own point value. For example, you may choose to award:

  • Fewer points in early rounds

  • Increasing points in later rounds

  • High-value points for the Final Four or Championship

This flexibility allows commissioners to emphasize long-term accuracy or reward late-round success.

Can Scoring Be Changed After Creation?

Yes. Commissioners can adjust the scoring values even after the contest has been created, but not after entries have been submitted.

Any updates will apply to the pool according to the platform’s scoring rules and timing.

Why Customize Scoring?

Adjusting scoring settings lets you shape the experience of your bracket pool. You might customize scoring to:

  • Make the contest more competitive

  • Reduce the impact of early-round upsets

  • Increase excitement in later rounds

  • Match traditional office pool scoring systems

Scoring Settings give commissioners full control over how winners are determined, helping you create a bracket contest that fits your group’s style and expectations.
