When to Use Manual Entry
You should only use this form if:
The contest entry deadline has already passed
A member cannot access the website
You need to enter a bracket on someone’s behalf
For all other cases, it is strongly recommended to invite members normally.
Preferred Ways to Add Members
Before using manual entry, consider these options:
Invite members who already have a Splash account
Send your contest join link so participants can join themselves
Allow members to create their own account and submit their bracket
Self-joining ensures participants can manage their own entries and receive updates.
Requirements for Manually Adding a Member
If the Person Already Has a Splash Account
You must enter the email address associated with their existing account
This links the entry to their profile
If the Person Does NOT Have an Account
Manual addition is not supported for new users.
They must join using your contest’s join link
They will create their account during the join process
After creating an account, they can submit their own bracket
Important Considerations
Manual entries are typically used as a last resort
Members added this way may have limited ability to manage their entry themselves
Accuracy is important when entering picks on someone’s behalf
Manually adding members ensures everyone can participate, even if they cannot access the platform directly. However, whenever possible, inviting members to join on their own provides the best experience for both commissioners and participants.
