Available Pick Objectives

Survivor pools can be configured in one of two ways:

Pick One Team to WIN Each Day (Traditional Survivor β€” Default)

In this classic format:

  • Members select one team they believe will win

  • If the team wins, the member advances

  • If the team loses, the member is eliminated

πŸ‘‰ This is the default setting and the most common Survivor pool style. It is recommended for most groups.

Pick One Team to LOSE Each Day (Loser Pool)

In this alternative format:

  • Members select one team they believe will lose

  • If the team loses, the member advances

  • If the team wins, the member is eliminated

This format is often called a Loser Pool and creates a very different strategic experience, as participants are targeting likely underdogs rather than favorites.

How to Choose Between Them

Choose WIN if you want:

  • A traditional Survivor experience

  • Picks focused on strong teams and favorites

  • Familiar gameplay for most participants

Choose LOSE if you want:

  • A unique twist on Survivor

  • Strategy centered on underdogs

  • A more unpredictable contest

Important Considerations

  • The pick objective applies to every contest day

  • All participants must follow the same objective

  • Changing this setting after picks begin may not be allowed

Summary

The Pick Objective determines whether members must correctly select a winning team or a losing team each day to survive. The default option β€” picking one team to win each day β€” provides the classic Survivor experience, while the loser-pool option offers a strategic alternative for groups looking for something different.
