Our Entertainment-Only (EO) platform offers a couple of popular MLB contest formats designed for commissioners who prefer to manage payments offline while still using Splash Sports for gameplay, standings, and engagement.
Below is an overview of the available MLB contest types:
MLB Survivor (Team)
In this format, participants select one MLB team per slate (typically weekly).
How it works:
Each participant picks one team to win.
If the selected team wins, the participant advances to the next slate.
If the selected team loses, the participant is eliminated.
Each team can typically only be used once per season (depending on settings).
Objective:
Be the last remaining participant (or last group of participants) standing.
MLB 13-Run Pool
This is a longer-form contest that spans multiple days or weeks.
How it works:
Participants select MLB teams in an attempt to accumulate exactly 13 total runs.
Runs scored by your selected teams are tracked across games.
Once a participant reaches (or exceeds) 13 runs, their total is finalized.
Objective:
Finish with a total closest to 13 runs without going over (based on your contest settings).
Important Notes for Entertainment-Only Contests
Splash Sports does not collect or distribute entry fees for EO contests.
Commissioners are responsible for handling all payments and payouts outside of the platform.
EO contests may include a one-time service fee, depending on the format.
