If you've run a contest before, you can restart it for a new season without building from scratch. Your settings carry over and you just confirm, adjust, and go.
How to Restart a Past Contest
Go to the Commissioner tab
Click the Final tab to see your completed past contests
Find the contest you want to restart and click Restart
Review your settings — update anything that needs to change for the new season (dates, entry fees, prize structure, etc.)
Save the contest
Send invites to your members via the Invites Manager
What Carries Over
When you restart a contest, your previous settings are pre-filled as a starting point, including:
Contest format and sport
Entry fee and prize structure
Entry Lives configuration
Scoring rules
Previous member list (available for re-invite in the Invites Manager)
You can modify any settings before saving — treat it as a pre-filled draft, not a locked copy.
Re-Inviting Past Members
After restarting, go to Commissioner tab → Active → Manage → Invites Manager. Your previous contest member list will be available to select and re-invite with one click. Members will receive a notification and find the invite under My Contests → Invites.
What Members See
When you restart a contest, your members receive a notification prompting them to join or decline. They must actively accept the invite — they are not automatically enrolled in the new contest.
Common Questions
I can't find my past contest in the Final tab. Make sure you're in the Commissioner tab, not My Contests. Past contests you ran as commissioner appear under Commissioner → Final.
Can I restart a contest from RunYourPool or OfficeFootballPool? Yes — migrated RYP and OFP contests appear in the Final tab of the Commissioner tab and can be restarted from there.
Does restarting carry over last year's picks or standings? No — a restarted contest starts fresh. Only the contest configuration carries over, not any picks or results from the previous season.
