PGA Tiers contests on Splash Sports work differently from One & Done — instead of picking one golfer per tournament, you build a full roster by selecting one golfer from each tier. Here's how to make your picks for any Tiers format.
Tiers Contest Formats
There are three Tiers formats on Splash Sports, each with slightly different structures:
Single-Tourney Tiers — You build a fresh roster for one specific tournament
Multi-Tourney Tiers — Your roster competes across multiple tournaments throughout the season
Majors Tiers — Your roster competes across the major tournaments (and optionally THE PLAYERS and the FedEx Cup)
How to Make Your Picks
Log in at app.splashsports.com or open the Splash Sports app
Go to My Contests → Active and select your Tiers contest
Tap or click your entry to open the pick sheet
You'll see golfers grouped into tiers — select one golfer from each tier to build your roster
Review your selections and tap Save/Submit to lock in your picks
⚠️ Once a golfer's tournament begins, your picks are locked and cannot be changed for that event.
How Tiers Work
Golfers are divided into tiers based on skill level and expected performance — Tier 1 contains the top-ranked players, with each subsequent tier featuring lower-ranked golfers at a potentially higher value. The goal is to build the best lineup possible across all tiers.
Your contest may include anywhere from 4 to 8 tiers depending on how the commissioner configured it.
Scoring Options
Your commissioner will have chosen one of two scoring formats:
Dollar Winnings — Each golfer earns points equal to their official PGA Tour prize money for the tournament. The entry with the highest total earnings wins.
Total Strokes — Each golfer contributes their stroke total relative to par. The lowest combined score wins. Check your contest's Rules section to confirm which format you're playing.
Multi-Tourney & Majors Tiers: Picking Each Week
In Multi-Tourney and Majors Tiers contests, you'll submit a new roster for each tournament in the schedule. Your picks from a previous tournament do not carry over — head back to your contest before each event's deadline to make fresh selections.
If a Player Use Limit has been enabled by your commissioner, you may be restricted from selecting the same golfer more than once across tournaments — check your contest rules for details.
Pick Deadlines
Pick deadlines are set by your commissioner and are shown inside your contest. Picks typically lock at the start of the first round of each tournament. Once locked, picks cannot be changed — even if the tournament hasn't completed yet.
