How to Make Picks in a PGA Tiers Contest ⛳

How to make picks in a PGA Tiers contest on Splash Sports — covering Single-Tourney, Multi-Tourney, and Majors Tiers formats, how tiers work, and scoring options.

PGA Tiers contests work differently from One & Done — instead of picking one golfer per tournament, you build a full roster by selecting one golfer from each tier. Here's how to make your picks for any Tiers format.

Tiers Formats at a Glance

There are three Tiers formats on Splash Sports:

  • Single-Tourney Tiers — A fresh roster for one specific tournament

  • Multi-Tourney Tiers — A roster that competes across multiple tournaments throughout the season

  • Majors Tiers — A roster that competes across the major tournaments (and optionally THE PLAYERS and the FedEx Cup)

Golfers are divided into tiers based on skill level and expected performance — Tier 1 contains the top-ranked players, with each subsequent tier featuring lower-ranked golfers at a potentially higher value. Contests can include anywhere from 4 to 8 tiers depending on how the commissioner configured it.

How to Make Your Picks

  1. Log in at app.splashsports.com or open the Splash Sports app

  2. Go to My Contests → Active and open your Tiers contest

  3. Tap your entry to open the pick sheet

  4. Select one golfer from each tier to build your roster

  5. Tap Save/Submit to lock in your picks

⚠️ Once a golfer's tournament begins, your picks are locked and cannot be changed for that event.

Scoring

Your commissioner will have chosen one of two scoring formats:

  • Dollar Winnings — Highest total prize money earned by your golfers wins.

  • Total Strokes — Lowest combined strokes relative to par wins.

See How Does Total Strokes Scoring Work? for a full breakdown. Check your contest's Rules section to confirm which format you're playing.

Multi-Tourney & Majors Tiers: Picking Each Week

In Multi-Tourney and Majors Tiers contests, you'll submit a new roster for each tournament — picks don't carry over. Head back to your contest before each event's deadline.

If a Player Use Limit has been enabled, you may be restricted from selecting the same golfer across tournaments — check your contest rules.
