How Does NFL Survivor Work? 🏈

How NFL Survivor contests work on Splash Sports β€” making picks, team use limits, double pick weeks, entry lives, missed picks, and how winners are determined.

Updated yesterday

NFL Survivor is one of the most popular contests on Splash Sports. The concept is simple: pick one team to win each week. Get it right and you're still alive. Get it wrong and you're out. Here's everything you need to know to play.

How NFL Survivor Works

Each week of the NFL season, you select one team to win their game. If your team wins, you survive and move on to the next week. If your team loses β€” or you don't make a pick β€” you're eliminated from the contest.

The last remaining entry wins the entire prize pool.

Team Use Limit

In most Survivor contests, you can only use each NFL team once for the entire season. Once you've picked the Chiefs, for example, you can't pick them again in a later week. This forces you to manage your favorite teams strategically across the full season.

Your contest settings may allow teams to be used twice or unlimited times β€” check your contest's Rules section to confirm.

How to Make Your Weekly Pick

  1. Log in at app.splashsports.com or open the Splash Sports app

  2. Go to My Contests β†’ Active and select your Survivor contest

  3. Tap your entry to open the pick sheet

  4. Select one team you believe will win this week

  5. Tap Save/Submit to lock in your pick

⚠️ Picks lock at the deadline set by your commissioner β€” typically before the first game of the week. Once locked, picks cannot be changed.

What Happens If I Miss My Pick?

If you don't submit a pick before the deadline, you are automatically eliminated β€” the same as making an incorrect pick. If your commissioner has enabled Auto Picks, the system will automatically select a team on your behalf if you miss the deadline. Check your contest rules to see if this is enabled.

Double Pick Weeks

Some commissioners designate certain weeks as Double Pick Weeks, requiring you to select two teams instead of one. Both teams must win for you to advance β€” if either team loses, you're eliminated. Check your contest schedule to see if any Double Pick Weeks are planned.

Entry Lives

Some Survivor contests include Entry Lives β€” essentially extra chances. If your commissioner has enabled this, you'll survive your first incorrect pick (or missed pick) rather than being immediately eliminated. You can have up to four lives depending on contest settings. Once all your lives are used, you're out.

How the Winner Is Determined

The last surviving entry wins the full prize pool. If multiple entries survive to the end of the season, the prize is split equally. If all remaining entries are eliminated in the same week, those entries split the prize equally.
