Splash Sports supports contests where a portion — or all — of the prize pool is directed to a charity. Here's how it works from setup through to payment.
How the Charity Payout Works
When a commissioner sets up a contest with a charity split, the designated percentage of the total prize pool is held by Splash and paid directly to the charity once the contest concludes. Splash handles the payment — it does not pass through the commissioner's account.
For example, if a contest raises $4,500 and the charity split is set to 50%, Splash will pay out $2,250 to the winners and $2,250 to the designated charity.
How to Set Up a Charity Contest
Charity payout settings are configured during contest creation. When setting your payout structure, you'll have the option to designate a percentage of the prize pool to go to a charity recipient. You'll be asked to provide the charity's name and any relevant payment details at that time.

How Does the Charity Receive Their Funds?
Once your contest concludes and results are finalized, Splash will reach out to coordinate payment to the charity. Payment can be made via:
Online donation link — if the charity has a donation page, Splash can process the payment directly through it
Check by mail — Splash can issue a physical check and mail it to the charity's address
If you're running a charity contest, it's helpful to have the charity's preferred payment method confirmed in advance so there are no delays after the contest ends. You can share this information with support when setting up your contest or when the contest concludes.
When Is the Charity Paid?
Charity payments are processed after the contest is finalized and winnings have been distributed to players. Our team will contact you or the charity directly to coordinate the payment method and confirm the recipient details before sending funds.
