QuickPicks: Why Was My Entry Refunded? ("No Match Found") πŸ”„

Why a QuickPicks entry gets refunded with "No Match Found," how the peer-to-peer matching system works, and what to do when it happens.

Updated this week

QuickPicks is a peer-to-peer contest β€” Splash matches your entry against other players' entries. Occasionally, an entry can't be matched in time, which results in a refund. Here's exactly what happens and why.

How QuickPicks Matching Works

When you submit a QuickPicks entry, Splash looks for other entries to match yours against. Entries are matched on a first-come, first-served basis. Splash doesn't take a side β€” we match players with similar pick sheets and pay out the winner from the combined entry fees, keeping a small rake.

Because matching depends on other players submitting compatible entries, there are rare situations where a match can't be found before the contest resolves.

How Often Does This Happen?

This is uncommon β€” Splash successfully matches over 95% of all QuickPicks entries placed. We're actively working to increase that number as the product grows and more players participate across more sports.

Entries are more likely to go unmatched during lower-volume periods (e.g., off-peak hours, less popular sports, or unusual slate configurations). Entering earlier in the day when more players are active can improve your chances of being matched quickly.

What Should I Do If My Entry Is Refunded?

Your entry fee is returned to your Splash wallet automatically β€” no action needed. You can use those funds to enter a new contest.

Tips to Avoid Unmatched Entries

  • Enter earlier β€” submitting at the start of a slate when more players are active improves your chances of a quick match

  • Check the lobby β€” higher-volume contest types tend to match faster

  • Monitor your Final tab β€” if a slip appears as "No Match Found," your refund is already on its way
