Splash-Managed: World Cup Survivor: How Do Double Pick Rounds Work?

How Double Pick Rounds work in World Cup Survivor — what they are, how correct and incorrect picks are counted, and which rounds are eligible.

Updated today

Overview

Double Pick Rounds require entrants to make 2 correct picks in a designated round instead of the usual 1. It's an optional setting commissioners can enable to add more difficulty to specific rounds.

How It Works

When a round is designated as a Double Pick Round, you must select 2 teams to win their respective matches that round. Both picks must be correct to advance:

  • Both picks correct → entry advances

  • One pick correct, one incorrect → entry eliminated (or loses a life)

  • Both picks incorrect → entry eliminated (or loses a life)

One or both incorrect picks in a Double Pick Round results in elimination or loss of a life — the same consequence as a single wrong pick in a normal round.

Which Rounds Can Be Double Pick Rounds?

Double Pick Rounds can be enabled for the following rounds in both contest templates:

  • Round of 32

  • Round of 16

  • Round of 8 (Quarterfinals)

The Semifinals and Final cannot be designated as Double Pick Rounds.

Do Double Picks Count Toward the Team Use Limit?

Yes — both picks in a Double Pick Round count against your team use limit. If the limit is set to "Once," both teams used in a double pick round are unavailable for future rounds.

Can the Commissioner Change Double Pick Rounds After the Contest Starts?

No. Once the contest begins, Double Pick Round settings cannot be changed. There is also a specific rule around the first slate:

  • If the first slate of the contest is already assigned as a Double Pick Round, that setting cannot be removed.

  • If the first slate is not assigned as a Double Pick Round, it can still be added up to 48 hours before the contest begins.
