Splash-Managed: World Cup Survivor: How Does the Split Pot Work?

How the Split Pot works in World Cup Survivor — the requirements, the difference between a full and partial split, and how to request one.

Updated today

Overview

The Split Pot feature allows the remaining entrants in a World Cup Survivor contest to agree to split the prize pool rather than play it out to the end. It is available in both the Group Stage + Knockout Stage and Knockout Stage Only templates, but must be enabled by the commissioner and requires CS assistance to execute.

Requirements for a Split

All of the following conditions must be met before a split can be requested:

  • The total prize pool exceeds $2,000

  • The Round of 8 (Quarterfinals) has concluded

  • 10 or fewer entrants remain alive in the contest

  • All remaining entrants unanimously agree to a full or partial split

If any of these conditions are not met, a split cannot be processed.

Types of Splits

Full Split

The contest ends immediately. The entire prize pool is divided equally among all remaining surviving entries.

Partial Split

Half of the prize pool is split equally among all remaining entries. The other half is held and awarded to the ultimate winner when the contest concludes normally.

How to Request a Split

Splits must be facilitated by the Splash CS team. To request one:

  1. Confirm that all remaining entrants agree to the split and which type (full or partial).

  2. Verify all 4 requirements above are met.

  3. Contact Splash Support at support@splashsports.com with the contest details. A rep will reach out to confirm availability then move forward with the prize split if applicable*

Does My Commissioner Need to Enable This?

Yes — Split Pot Eligibility is an optional setting that is off by default. The commissioner must have enabled it when setting up the contest.

If it was not enabled, a split cannot be processed regardless of whether all other conditions are met.
