Building custom reels and AR highlights

Pick your own clips into a reel, and add AR effects on threes.

📍 Where to find it: Highlights → Select Clips (custom reel); a 3-pointer clip → Create AR Highlight (AR)

🔒 Who can do this: requires custom reels feature flag; AR effects are basketball-only (3-pointer makes).

Beyond the automatic reels, the SportsVisio app lets you build your own Custom Highlight Reel from clips you pick, and add flashy AR effects to basketball three-pointers.

Build a custom highlight reel

  1. From Highlights, open Select Clips. You'll see the Select Clips screen.

  2. Filter by player or action, and sort to find the clips you want.

  3. Tap clips to select them, up to 50 clips.

  4. In the footer strip you can reorder the selected clips (drag them) or remove one.

  5. Tap Next to name the reel. In Generate Custom Highlight Reel, type a name in Custom Reel Name (up to 40 characters).

  6. Confirm to generate. Like any reel, it builds in the cloud and may take a few minutes.

Your finished reels live in My Custom Highlight Reels (from your account). If it's empty you'll see No Custom Highlight Reels Yet.

Add AR effects (basketball 3-pointers)

AR effects turn a made three-pointer into an augmented-reality highlight.

  1. On an eligible 3-pointer make clip, choose Create AR Highlight.

  2. Pick an effect: Fireball, Superman, Players On Fire, White & Gold, or Zub-Zero.

  3. While it renders you'll see Your AR Highlight is Coming and "Hang tight…".

  4. If it fails you'll see Oops! AR Effect Activation Failed: tap Try Again AR Effect.

If you don't see this

  • Custom reels are gated by a feature flag and may be off for some users.

  • AR effects are basketball only and apply only to made three-pointers: they won't appear for 3x3, volleyball, or non-3-point clips.

To gather clips first by liking them, see Liked Highlights.
