đ Where to find it: stats.sportsvisio.com â Members; and Settings (Profile, Roles, Appearance)
đ Who can do this: requires invitations permission (Members page); manageMembers (admin) to remove people.
This covers who's in your program and what they can do on SportsVisio Analytics (the web product at stats.sportsvisio.com), inviting people, roles, and your own account settings. It's aimed at program admins and coaches; a plain viewer will see fewer of these options.
Before you start
You manage people on the Members page. You'll only see it if you have the invitations permission. That's admins and coaches. If the Members menu item isn't there, your role can't invite people; ask a program admin.
Roles are per program. Make sure the right program is chosen in the program picker first. You're managing that program's members, not your whole account.
Inviting a coach, parent, or player
Go to Members.
Start a new invite and enter the person's email.
Choose the role you want them to have (see the roles below), then send it.
The person gets an email invitation to accept. Inviting parents this way is how you give a parent access to follow the team.
If you don't see the Members page at all, it's your role, inviting people needs the invitations permission (admin or coach). Ask an admin to invite the person, or to give you that permission.
What each role can do
Roles are program-scoped and control what's visible:
Admin: full control of the program: invite and remove people, change roles, manage teams and rosters, manage divisions and seasons, and (on the web) billing.
Coach: can create and edit teams and rosters, upload/record games, and invite people. Coaches cannot manage billing, divisions/seasons, or remove members.
User (viewer): view-only. Can see stats, highlights, standings, and profiles, but can't create teams, invite people, or change anything. This is the right role for a parent who should only follow along.
For the full breakdown, see Roles and what they can do.
Giving a parent view-only access
Invite the parent from Members and give them the user (viewer) role. Viewers can see stats, highlights, and standings but can't edit anything.
Checking your own role
Open Settings > Roles to see the role you hold in the current program.
Heads-up: the Roles view can currently come up empty for some accounts. If it does, that's a known display issue and doesn't mean you have no role. An admin can confirm your role from the Members page, or contact customer success.
Having different roles in different programs
Yes. This is expected. Roles are program-scoped, so you can be an admin in one program and a viewer in another. What you see in the menus follows the program you've picked in the program picker. Switching programs can change which pages and buttons appear.
Changing someone's role
An admin changes roles from the Members page: find the person and set their new role there. Coaches can invite but can't change existing members' roles.
Removing someone from a program
Removing a member is an admin action (the manageMembers permission), do it from the Members page. Coaches and viewers won't have this option. If you need someone removed and aren't an admin, ask a program admin.
Changing your name or email
Open Settings > Profile to update your name and email. This is your one SportsVisio account, so the change applies on mobile too.
Changing the theme (light/dark)
Open Settings > Appearance > Theme to switch the site's appearance.
Setting up notifications
Notification preferences live in Settings. Choose which updates you want to receive there.
If you don't see notification settings, that option may not be enabled for your account yet.
Making a program or team public vs private
Teams and programs can be public (anyone can view) or private (invited members only). This is not something you can change yourself: there is no visibility setting in the web app. To have a team or program made private or public, email customersuccess@sportsvisio.com with the program name and what you need. If you open a private item you do not have access to, the app offers a Contact Operations Team option.
Sharing a link that works for people without accounts
A public team or program can be viewed from its link without an account. If you want to share with people who aren't members, for example parents who don't want to sign up, make the team public and share that link. Private teams require the person to be invited and signed in.
Why an invite link expired
Email invitations don't last forever. An old invite link can expire before it's accepted. If yours has expired, ask the person who invited you to send a fresh invitation from the Members page.
Transferring admin to someone else
To hand off the admin role, an existing admin invites or promotes the other person to admin from the Members page. There's no one-click "transfer ownership" button. You promote the new admin, and if needed the original admin's role can then be lowered. If you're the only admin and can't get in, contact customersuccess@sportsvisio.com.
Why can't I see the Members page?
The Members page is gated on the invitations permission, which only admins and coaches have. If it's missing, you're a viewer in this program. Ask an admin to make the change for you, or to give you the role you need.
