How SQR Handles Identity Theft Reports
All identity repair cases are handled under SQR’s documented identity repair and incident management procedures.
Verification
To ensure we are assisting the correct individual, we may request:
Proof of identity (for example, a government-issued ID)
Details of the suspected misuse
Evidence of reports made to Action Fraud or financial institutions, where applicable
Investigation and Remedial Action
Once verified, we will:
Review account access history and system logs
Assess whether misuse occurred within SQR’s service
Take appropriate action, which may include resetting credentials, suspending the account, or restoring legitimate access
Confirm the outcome of our review
Requesting Evidence
If identity misuse is confirmed within SQR’s systems, you may request written confirmation to support your recovery process.
This may include:
A formal statement confirming unauthorised access (where evidenced)
Confirmation of actions taken by SQR
Relevant account activity information where legally permitted
To request this, email Support@SQR.ID with the subject line:
Request for Identity Theft Evidence
and include your case reference number.
Account Recovery Process
If an SQR account has been compromised, we apply additional verification controls before restoring access.
This includes:
Uploading alternative identity evidence different from the document used at onboarding
Verifying the new evidence using our standard verification process
Linking the new evidence to the original onboarding record and associated facial biometric data
Suspending the account where necessary before re-verification
This ensures that only the rightful individual regains access.
Cooperation with Authorities
Where appropriate and legally required, SQR provides information to relevant governing bodies and law enforcement agencies.
Preventative Measures
To reduce the risk of identity misuse:
Use strong, unique passwords
Enable two-factor authentication
Monitor your credit file
Be cautious of phishing emails
Contact SQR directly if you are unsure about any communication claiming to be from us
