Having Trouble Stamping with SQUID ?

Steps to take if the you are tapping the SQUID tag and it isn’t working for you

Section 1: Are you following all of these steps on the videos when attempting to tap;

Steps for iPhone:

Steps for Android:

*Tip: NFC on an iPhone is located at the camera, NFC on an android can be located anywhere on the back of the phone*


Section 2: Troubleshooting - If you are still experiencing trouble with stamping, try these tips.

  1. Remove phone cover

  2. Hard close and re-start app

  3. Re-start phone

  4. See if any iOS/Android updates are available

  5. If Android, please check if NFC is turned on

  6. Check if Apple/Google Pay payments are working

  7. Check if there are any cracks/damage on the back of phone

Another common issue we have noticed with iPhones in particular is that the NFC reader needs to be reset. This can be done by turning your phone off and back on again. The issue should then be resolved, and when you press the 'tap tag' button, the NFC reader should pop up.


Section 3: Ensure your phone has access to the NFC Feature;

  • All iPhones before 7 do not have NFC

  • Android - check in settings if NFC is turned on
