File Attachment Setup

To set up File Attachments in Penelope you will need to be logged in with a System Administrator account.

Configure File Attachments

  1. In the System Setup section select File Attachment.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Select Enable File Attachment.

  4. Select the Maximum File Size for attachments.

  5. Select what level (eg: Case, Service File, Service Event etc) in Penelope you would like to allow attachments.

  6. Click Save.

Note: the max file size that can be set is 100MB

Upload an Attachment Template

Attachment Templates are files you want to make available to Workers in Penelope. These may include Consent or Release of Information Forms.

To Upload a File Template

  1. In the System Setup section select File Attachment.

  2. Select Add.

  3. Select the Category for the template (e.g.where in Penelope the file will be available for download; for example the Service File or Service Event).

  4. Click Choose File.

  5. Select the file you wish to upload to Penelope.

  6. Click Save. The file will be uploaded to Penelope.

Note: the max file size that can be set is 100MB

To Delete the File Template

  1. In the System Setup section select File Attachment.

  2. Select the minus icon (-) of the File Template you wish to delete.

  3. The File Template will be deleted from Penelope (this action is irreversible).

Restricted File Attachment Types

For security reasons, the following attachment/file types are restricted from being uploaded to Penelope as attachments or attachment templates.

Information

This change is applicable to Penelope v4.9.6.0 EDGE, v4.8.0.3 LTS and higher. This change will not impact viewing or downloading previously uploaded attachments but will instead prevent you from uploading new restricted types in the future.

Attachment File Names

The following characters can be used in attachment names:

  • a~z,A~Z,0~9,-,_,() and spaces

  • no more than one period (.)

  • Other characters are invalid.
