Presenting Issues Setup

To setup Presenting Issues in Penelope you will need to be logged in with a System Administrator account.

Settings Tab

The settings tab allows you to customize how Presenting Issues are labelled in Penelope as well as create and edit the Presenting Issue Groups.

Edit Naming and Input Options

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Setting tab.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Edit as required.

  5. Click Save.

Service Files

The label you want to include for Presenting Issues entered at the Service File level. This label appears on the Service File page as well as on All Service File and Add Service Wizard tools. Common examples include:

  • Diagnosis Code

  • Problem Area

Intakes

The label you want to include for Presenting Issues entered on the Intake Wizard. This label appears on the Intake Wizard and the Case page > Intake Summary tab. Common examples include:

  • Presenting Issue

  • Area of Concern

Input

Lookup Displayed Columns

You can choose which information displays in the Suggest Lookup field when entering a Presenting Issue for a client. Options include:

  • ICD Codes (Example: Major depressive disorder, recurrent, mild – F33.0)

  • Presenting Issues Group (Example: Major depressive disorder, recurrent, mild – ICD-10)

Adding Presenting Issue Groups

Presenting Issue Groups are used to group different types of Presenting Issues together in Penelope. For example, you may have two groups, one called General and the other called Mental Health. Each group must be assigned a class (Service File, Intake or Shared). If you assign the General group to the Shared class the Presenting Issues in this group will be available on both the Intake Wizard and the Service File, however, if you had assigned it to the Service File class the Presenting Issues in this group would only be available at the Service File level. All Presenting Issues must be assigned to a Presenting Issue Group.

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Setting tab.

  3. In the Field Setup section select Presenting Issue Group.

  4. In the Active Values section select Add.

  5. Add the new Present Issue Group in the Value field.

  6. Select the Class.

  7. Click Save.

Edit a Presenting Issue Group

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Setting tab.

  3. In the Field Setup section select Presenting Issue Group.

  4. In the Active Value section select the Presenting Issue Group you wish to edit.

  5. Edit the Presenting Issue Group as required.

  6. Click Save.

Make a Presenting Issues Group inactive

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Setting tab.

  3. In the Field Setup section select Presenting Issue Group.

  4. In the Active Values section click the minus (-) icon of the Presenting Issue Group you wish to make inactive.

  5. The Presenting Issue will be moved to the Inactive Values section.

Make an existing Presenting Issues Group Active

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Setting tab.

  3. In the Field Setup section select Presenting Issue Group.

  4. In the Inactive Values section click the plus (+) icon of the Presenting Issue Group you wish to make active.

  5. The Presenting Issue will be moved to the Active Values section.

Presenting Issue Tab

On the Presenting Issues Setup page you can add, edit, deactivated and reactivate Presenting Issues.

Adding Presenting Issues

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Presenting Issue tab.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Enter the Presenting Issue.

  5. Select the Group from the drop down.

  6. Enter any ICD-9 and/or ICD-10 code you wish to attach to the issue.

  7. Click Save.

Editing Presenting Issues

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Presenting Issue tab.

  3. Click on the Issue you wish to edit.

  4. Edit the Issue, Group, ICD-9 and ICD-10 as required.

  5. Click Save.

Make a Presenting Issues Inactive

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Presenting Issue tab.

  3. In the Active Values section click the minus (-) icon of the Presenting Issue you wish to make inactive.

  4. The Presenting Issue will be moved to the Inactive Values section.

Make an existing Presenting Issues Active

  1. In the System Setup section select Presenting Issue.

  2. On the Presenting Issue Setup page select the Presenting Issue tab.

  3. In the Inactive Values section click the plus (+) icon of the Presenting Issue you wish to make active.

  4. The Presenting Issue will be moved to the Active Values section.
