Previewing a Document
Updated over a year ago

You can preview your Document throughout the creation process to review the layout and functionality, test the Scoring, etc. In Preview mode, the functionality of the Document will operate normally, with the exception of conditions in client facing previews, and you can fill out your Document exactly as a user would. For example, required questions will apply in the Preview.

You can preview your Document as many times as you like. Each instance of the Document preview will appear in the Previews sidebar until the Document has been finalized (at which time all Previews will be automatically removed).

The Preview functionality remains available until the Document is finalized and is available again when you create a New Revision of your Document.

Preview a Document

1. In the Document, expand the Previews sidebar.

2. Complete one of the following actions:

  • If you’re previewing a Document without Stages, click Add.

Add a Preview for a Document without Stages
  • If you’re previewing a Document with Stages, expand the Select Stage drop-down and choose which Stage you want to preview.

3. In the For Individual field, type the name of a client or test client that you’ll use for the Preview. Click Enter on your keyboard or elsewhere on the screen and a preview of the Document will appear.

4. Answer the Questions in your Document, clicking Next and eventually Finish to test the functionality.

5. Make any desired changes you identify through the Preview to your Document and repeat the Preview > Update process until you’re happy with your Document (especially the Scores!) and ready to proceed with Finalizing the Document.

Preview a Client Facing Document

2. Complete one of the following actions:

  • If you’re previewing a Client Facing Document without Stages, click Client Facing Preview.

5. A preview of the Document will appear in a new tab or window depending on your browser preferences. Answer the Questions in your Document, clicking Next and eventually Finish to test the functionality.

6. Make any desired changes you identify through the Preview to your Document and repeat the Preview > Update process until you’re happy with your Document (especially the Scores!) and ready to proceed with Finalizing the Document.

Note: It is currently expected that conditions do not function in client facing previews, so in order to test these, the document would need to be sent.

Delete a Preview

You can optionally Delete a Preview of your Document prior to finalizing (remember, once you Finalize the Document, all Previews are automatically removed).

  1. In the Document, expand the Previews sidebar and click the name of the Preview you want to delete.

  2. On the Document Preview page, click Delete.

  3. Click Okay to confirm your action.
