Worker Message Settings

If your System Administrator has enabled certain features in Penelope (e.g. External Communications, Authentication, ClientConnect and/or Engage) it is possible to receive email or SMS messages and notifications.

To receive email or SMS notifications your Worker Message Settings will need to be configured.

The types of communication a worker can choose to receive email or SMS messages for. For each type of message, a worker can select whether they want to receive notifications via email, SMS, or none. Additionally, the worker can indicate if they'd only like to receive notifications via email or SMS if they're offline (i.e. not actively logged into Penelope). If the worker is logged into Penelope, they will get a pop-up reminder instead.
Note: Also, some users may prefer to disable email and SMS notifications for events as they will receive a notification for each event they are associated with.

Event Message Settings

Notify me when my client confirms event (as Primary event)

An option to send a return of confirmation message to the worker from their clients for events they are listed as the Primary Worker.

Event Reminder Settings

Automatic event reminder X min before any event

An option to have a pop up reminder in Penelope a specified number of minutes before the event start time.

Event Reminder Settings

Automatic event reminder X min before first service event (excluding group)

An option to have a pop up reminder in Penelope a specified number of minutes before the first event in a Service File start time. You may find it helpful to specify a longer notification time for first events in a Service File if you have additional preparatory work to complete in advance for new clients.

Configure your Message Settings

Complete the steps below to update your Worker Profile with your preferred email address and/or cell phone number. Depending on your agency’s External Communications configuration, some of the steps below may vary.

  1. On your homepage, navigate to the My Profile sidebar > My Message Settings option.

  2. In the Email field, type the email address you would like to receive emails from Penelope at.

  3. In the SMS field, type the phone number you would like to receive text messages from Penelope at.

  4. In the Receive Messages on section, for each message option, indicate if you would like to receive the message via email, SMS, none, or only when offline.

  5. To indicate that you would like to receive a notification when a client returns an event confirmation, in the Event Message Settings section, click the Notify me when my client confirms event (as Primary event)

  6. To set an automatic event reminder before an event, click the Automatic event reminder X min before any event option and set the number of minutes before the event that you’d like to be notified.

  7. To set an automatic event reminder before a first event in a Service File, click the Automatic event reminder X min before first service event (excluding groups) option and set the number of minutes before the event that you’d like to be notified.

  8. Click Save.
