When a user is invited to Standard Metrics—either by their investor or a team member—they will receive an email invitation.
To log in, the user can click the link in the email or visit app.standardmetrics.io. They can sign in using Gmail, Microsoft, or a magic link (a one-time login link sent to their inbox). No password setup is required.
Common issues when logging in:
Being redirected to 'request a demo' or 'access denied' page.
Cause of issue: user is attempting to sign in with an email address that has not been invited to the platform.
If a user attempts to log in with an email address that hasn’t been invited to the platform, they will be redirected to a “Request a Demo” or “Access Denied” page. Seeing this page means the email used does not have access. To log in, the user must be invited by their investor or another member of their team.
Not receiving magic link in email inbox.
Cause of issue: user's email security is blocking the email.
The user’s company email setup may prevent the login email from being delivered. To resolve this issue, the sender login@stytch.com should be added to the user’s email allowlist or whitelist to ensure the message is not blocked.
Receiving a magic link in inbox, but the link doesn't work.
Cause of issue: user's email security is pre-opening the magic link, making it unusable.
Some email security software may automatically “pre-open” links in emails to scan them for safety. However, this can invalidate a magic link, as it is designed for one-time use. The user should check with their IT team to determine if this might be the cause.
