Information Request Checklist

Written by Joshua Vance

Before sending your Portfolio Companies an Information Request, be sure to double check for the following:

  1. Custom KPIs. You can enter company specific metrics in by click on the section labeled Custom Metrics and scrolling to the bottom and selecting "Add Custom KPI"

  2. Due Date. Ensure you are giving your companies enough time to complete the request. Generally, we see firms send Information Requests 30 to 45 days after quarter-end with a two week completion deadline. The Due Date can moved so if you find that your companies need more time, you can select "Configure" and modify as you see fit.

  3. Contact Person. If a company has any issues, questions, or concerns this is the person at your firm that they will be directed to.

  4. Fiscal Year End. Confirm that you are not making a request to a company with an atypical fiscal year end. The FYE is displayed in the dashboard of your Information Requests section.

  5. Batch remove companies. Verify that you are not requesting from companies that have either chosen to opt-out, have been acquired, or for any other reason you will not be requesting from for the given request.
