How Do I Change My Email Address?
Email changes on StartPlaying are handled by our Support team. There's no self-service option in your account settings at this time. This article explains what to expect and how to submit your request so we can turn it around quickly.
Can I change my email address myself?
Not currently. Email changes require manual verification by our team to protect account security. The process is quick once we have the right information.
How do I request an email change?
Contact us through the chat button on this page and let us know you'd like to update your email. To process the request, we'll need:
Your current email address: The one currently on file with your StartPlaying account
Your new email address: The one you'd like to switch to
Verification: The last 4 digits of a payment card or bank account on file with your account
Having all three ready when you reach out means we can usually process the change in a single reply.
What happens after I submit my request?
Our Support Goblins are available Monday–Friday, 9AM–6PM EST. Once we receive your request with all the required information, we'll update your email and confirm in the same conversation. You'll use the new address to log in immediately after.
If you reach out outside business hours, The Crystal Ball (our AI support bot) will collect your details and queue the request for the next available Goblin.
What if I can't access my old email?
If you no longer have access to your current email address, verification works a little differently. Contact us via chat and let us know — we'll ask for alternative identity verification before making any changes.
Will my login method change?
StartPlaying uses a Magic Code login — we send a one-time code to your email each time you sign in. Once your email is updated, future login codes will go to your new address. Make sure the new email is one you can access reliably before requesting the change.
