How Do I Add My Bank Account as a GM?

So you've decided to become a Game Master on StartPlaying, congrats! We welcome you to The Guild of Many Tables (our community)!

One of the most important things you'll do during your set up your Payouts profile and attach your bank account. Note that StartPlaying takes a 10% booking fee from each game on the site.


Where to Add your Bank Account as a GM

1. Navigate to your Payouts page

2. Select your Account Type

  • You have the option of either Individual or Company.

3. Fill out the Information for your Individual or Company Account

  • Type in your first name, last name, and select your country if you are an individual account.

  • Type in your legal business name and select your country if you are a company account.

4. Click Continue to Stripe to be taken to Stripe to finish the verification process

  • You will be taken to a different webpage to finish your identity verification with Stripe

Stripe Verification Process

NOTE: Your verification process may look slightly different depending on your country and what personal data Stripe needs for identity verification

Enter in your Mobile Number and your Email Address

Verify Your Phone Number

Stripe will text the phone number you provided a 6 digit code. Enter it into the boxes below.

Note: Don't share this code with anyone, Stripe employees will never ask you for this code.

Verify Your Personal Details

Enter in your legal name, date of birth, home address, and the last 4 digits of your SSN

On the next page, Stripe will ask you to confirm your full SSN with your legal name

Business Details

If you have a website associated with your professional GMing business, you can put that here!

When in doubt, put in your profile link from StartPlaying or a social media profile link 😁

Add an Account for Payouts

Enter in your bank account's routing number and account number for whichever account you'd like to use for StartPlaying payouts

Review and Submit

This page will give you one last chance to review all of the information you entered, before hitting "Agree and submit"

Your Identity is Verified

Once you finish with Stripe, your bank account information will show on your Payouts page, along with your "Balance."

I Am Having Trouble Uploading My ID

My Country Isn't Listed

If your country isn't listed/available in the drop-down menu, it's likely because Stripe doesn't support cross-border transactions from the US to your country. It might also mean your country's bank accounts have a field that is giving us trouble in the code base.

We are currently unable to provide financial or legal advice, or instruction in connection to setting up Payouts to countries that are not supported by Stripe at this time. As Stripe continues to expand the countries that they are able to provide support to, we will also expand the list of supported countries on StartPlaying.​
