To receive payouts from StartPlaying, you'll need to connect a bank account through Stripe, our payment processor. This only needs to be done once during your initial setup.
What percentage does StartPlaying take from each booking?
StartPlaying takes a 15% booking fee from each game on the site. All payments are processed through Stripe. We do not allow third-party apps like Venmo or PayPal.
How does StartPlaying process payouts?
StartPlaying uses Stripe to process all payouts.
For U.S. bank accounts, Stripe uses the ACH (Automated Clearing House) network. This is a reliable and widely used method for secure electronic bank transfers.
How do I add my bank account?
Navigate to your Payouts page
Select your Account Type
You have the option of either Individual or Company.
Fill out the Information for your Individual or Company Account
Type in your first name, last name, and select your country if you are an individual account.
Type in your legal business name and select your country if you are a company account.
Click Continue to Stripe
You will be taken to a different webpage to complete Stripe's identity verification flow.

Enter your mobile number and email address
Verify Your Phone Number
Stripe will text the phone number you provided a 6 digit code.
Do not share this code with anyone; Stripe employees will never ask for it.
Verify your Personal Details
Enter in your legal name, date of birth, home address, and the last 4 digits of your SSN
Stripe will then ask you to confirm your full SSN with your legal name
Enter your Business Details
If you have a website for your GMing business, add it here.
If not, your StartPlaying profile link or a social media link works fine.
Add Your Bank Account
Enter your bank's routing number and account number.
Review and Submit
Confirm all your information and click Agree and Submit
Confirmation
Once verified, your bank account and balance will appear on your Payouts page.
Troubleshooting
What should I do if my payout fails?
If a payout fails, the funds are returned to Stripe. To resolve it:
Go to your Payouts page
Click the three dots next to your bank account
Select Update Account and enter your updated bank details
Once updated, Stripe will automatically retry the payout. Make sure your bank account is accurate, up to date, and able to receive transfers from Stripe.
⚠️ Important: Do not select "Delete Payout Profile"
This may put your funds at risk and interfere with the payout process.
After updating, contact support@startplayinggames.com if the issue persists.
How do I update my bank account?
Go to your Payouts page
Click the three dots next to your bank account
Select Update Account
Follow the Stripe prompts to enter your new bank details
I have an unpaid balance. How do I pay it using my credits?
If you have an unpaid balance on StartPlaying, you can use any available credits to pay it off:
Go to your Payment Settings page
Click Pay My Balance
Your available credits will be automatically applied
I'm having trouble uploading my ID to Stripe. What should I do?

My country isn't listed. Why can't I set up payouts?
If your country doesn't appear in the dropdown, it's most likely because Stripe doesn't currently support cross-border transactions from the US to your country.
StartPlaying is unable to provide financial or legal advice for unsupported countries.
As Stripe expands its supported countries, StartPlaying will expand its list accordingly. Check back for updates!
