Do you want to know how we calculate the number of engagements for an influencer's social network posts? 🪄

The number of engagements of a post can vary depending on metrics availability from each channel. Each channel can have different actions that are counted towards user engagement. Let's try to make it easy! 🤓

Facebook engagements
The number of engagements = Shares + Reactions + Comments.

Shares are defined as the number of shares of a Facebook post.

Reactions are defined as the number of reactions to a Facebook post.

Comments are defined as the number of comments on a Facebook post.

Twitter engagements
Total engagements = Retweets + Favorites + Comments.
Retweets are defined as the number of retweets of a tweet.

Favorites are defined as the number of favorites a tweet receives.

Comments are defined as the number of replies to a tweet.

Instagram engagements
The number of engagements = Likes + Comments.
Likes are defined as the number of likes of an Instagram post*
Comments are defined as the number of comments on an Instagram post.

YouTube engagements
The number of engagements = Reactions + Comments.
Likes are defined as the number of likes on a YouTube video.
Comments are defined as the number of comments on a YouTube video.

TikTok engagements

The number of engagements = Likes + Comments + Shares

Likes are defined as the number of likes on a TikTok video.
Comments are defined as the number of comments on a TikTok video.

Shares are defined as the number of shares of a TikTok video.

*Note that when an influencer chooses to hide his/her likes on Instagram, we are not able to provide an accurate view of the 'likes' count on each post which consequently skews the Engagement Rate value.
