Control bundle variants, default selections, and subscriptions

Set variant choices, remove duplicate pickers, and connect a supported subscription setup.

Written by Alex

Set which variants shoppers see first, how they choose options, and whether the quantity bundle offers a subscription choice. An offer selects the quantity or set; a variant selects details such as size or color.

Set default variants

  1. For a quantity bundle, choose Set default variants, then select the offer and product.

  2. Choose the variants to preselect and check each offer separately.

  3. For a product set, configure allowed variants on each product and use its preselected-variant control. A default must be an allowed variant.

Bundle settings including variant prices, default variants and the Subscriptions switch.

Find Set default variants and Subscriptions in the Settings tab.

Choose how selectors and prices behave

Hide Theme Variant Picker
Avoid two competing selectors when shoppers choose inside the bundle.

Variant Selector Display
Choose text, text with images, or image swatches for quantity bundles.

Configure Option Images
Match option values to images. Changes can affect other bundles.

Update Theme Product Price
Reflect the selected quantity offer in the theme’s separate price display.

Variant Compare Prices
Choose the reference used for the struck-through amount.

Add a subscription choice

  1. Configure the product’s plans in your subscription app first.

  2. In the quantity bundle, enable Subscriptions and choose the layout, placement, and labels.

  3. Test both one-time and recurring purchase through checkout. Check the variant, quantity, selling plan, and price.

Subscription discounts belong in the subscription app. Turning on this display does not create a selling plan.

Done: defaults and changed selections both add the intended variants. Recheck defaults after deleting or restricting a variant.
