Use Gifts to include a free product when shoppers buy an eligible product. The gift joins the product page’s add-to-cart action automatically. Publishing requires an active Sternify plan.
1. Choose the gift and limit
Open Gifts → Create Gift and name the offer.
Click Select Gift, then choose the product and variants shoppers can receive. Edit its title, subtitle, and discount label.
Enable Limited per order and enter Maximum quantity per order if you want a cap, such as one gift per order.
Select the gift product and set an order limit when needed.
2. Choose eligible purchases
Under Visibility, choose all products, specific products, or collections. Select the products customers must buy, rather than the gift itself.
Set a schedule if needed. Check market visibility or market-specific limits if those controls are available.
Customize the style and choose Create Gift. Use Save as draft if you are still preparing it.
The free quantity follows the qualifying purchase. It cannot exceed the number of eligible units in the cart; your per-order limit can reduce it further. Two eligible units with a limit of one allow one free gift. Extra gift units can remain chargeable.
3. Add the block and check checkout
From Gifts, choose Add to theme. Place 💫: Gifts in the intended product template and save.
Open an eligible storefront product and add it to an empty cart. Check the gift variant, quantity, and checkout discount.
Repeat with a larger quantity and after removing the qualifying product. The gift should no longer receive its free discount when no qualifying purchase remains.
If the gift is missing or charged
Check active status, targeting, schedule, and the correct theme block. Confirm the gift product and variants still exist and are available. For a charged gift, check eligible cart items and the quantity limit before changing display text: a “Free” label does not prove the checkout discount applied.
For a gift unlocked by a cart-spend threshold, use cart drawer rewards.
