How do I use Express Check-In to select meals for my child at Steve & Kate's Camp?

Overview

Express Check-In (ECI) at Steve & Kate's Camp is a convenient tool to prepare for your child’s camp day. It allows parents to select meals and generate a QR code that simplifies the drop-off process. Understanding how to use ECI can help streamline your experience.

Express Check-In Steps

  1. Timing for ECI: The Express Check-In form becomes available at 6 PM the evening before your camp day. For example, if your child attends camp on Monday, you can start the process on Sunday evening.

  2. Accessing ECI: Log into your Steve & Kate's Camp account on their website. If you booked through a platform like Bright Horizons, ensure you're using the associated email account to gain access to the Express Check-In form. From the main page, locate the 'Express Check-In' dropdown to begin.

  3. Lunch Options: During ECI, you’ll select their lunch option. - If a meal option is not selected in advance, you can choose one at check-in the next morning. - Note that if no meal selection is made by 9:30 AM, the default lunch will be cheese pizza.

  4. QR Code for Check-In: Once the ECI process is completed, a QR code will be generated. You can print or take a screenshot of this code for scanning at drop-off. If someone else is dropping off your child, you may share the QR code with them for easy check-in.

Adjusting Meals for Allergies or Restrictions

  • If your child has severe food allergies listed on their profile, lunch and snacks will not be selectable. Steve & Kate's requires such families to provide all meals from home, along with an EpiPen where necessary. Moderate food allergies can be updated on the child’s account to enable meal selection during ECI. Moderate allergies receive the same level of caution as severe allergies.

  • To adjust your child’s allergy information: - Log into your Steve & Kate's Camp account. - Go to the 'Account' section. - Click 'Edit' next to your camper's name. - Scroll to 'Food Allergies' and update their allergy status. - Save your changes, refresh the page, and retry Express Check-In.

What If ECI Isn’t Completed?

  • If you cannot finish Express Check-In before arriving at camp, you may still drop off your camper. Meal selections, where applicable, can be made on-site during in-person check-in.

Key Notes

  • The default lunch provided for all campers at Steve & Kate's Camp is cheese pizza if no other selection is made by 9:30 AM.

  • Campers with severe allergies listed on their profile cannot receive any food products provided by the camp. Families should provide meals and snacks from home.
