Handling Lost and Found at Camp

Camp is an opportunity for kids to create lifelong memories and make friends they’ll cherish forever, but it can sometimes be difficult when things go missing. That’s why every camp has a lost and found system in place to help find missing items.

Where is the Lost and Found?

Lost and found items are kept in a clearly marked area at camp. You can find this area by asking a staff member at any time.

Reunited with Your Belongings

If you notice that your child has come home without an item, please contact your camp location or plan on checking the lost and found the following day.

Preparing for the Worst

To make it easier for everyone to find your kid’s stuff, be sure to label it. Whether you choose with permanent marker or adhesive labels, be sure to include their name. This is the best way to ensure that any lost items can quickly and easily be reunited with your child.

What Happens to Lost Items?

Items that have not been claimed by the end of the week are donated to a worthy cause the following Friday. Our top priority is to ensure that every child is reunited with their belongings, but when all else fails, we are happy to ensure these items are put to good use.
