1. Important Security Guidelines Before You Start

To ensure safe onboarding to Stobox 4, please follow these critical instructions:

1.1 Do Not Use Embedded Browsers

Never open the Stobox 4 registration link from in-app browsers like Telegram, Instagram, or other social apps.
Always open the link in a standalone browser app such as:

  • Safari

  • Chrome

  • Brave

  • Firefox

1.2 Check Your Browser's Download Location

Before starting registration, go to your browser settings or observe your download behavior to confirm where downloaded files are saved.

  • Safari (default):
    Downloads are saved to:
Files → iCloud Drive → Downloads
(You can change this to “On My iPhone” in Settings → Safari → Downloads)

  • Chrome / Brave:
iOS versions do not have a fixed download folder. When you tap "Download", you'll be prompted to Save to Files, where you choose the location manually (e.g., “On My iPhone → Chrome” or another folder).
If you cancel or skip this, the file is not saved at all.

Knowing where your backup file is stored is essential to avoid losing access to your wallet.

1.3 Backup File = Access to Your Funds

Your wallet backup file is the only way to recover access to your funds.

  • If you lose or damage the backup file, your funds will be permanently lost.

  • Stobox cannot restore the backup file or access your wallet.

  • The responsibility for safely storing the backup file is entirely yours.

1.4 Backup File Storage Recommendations

After downloading the backup file:

  • Save a copy to secure cloud storage (e.g., encrypted iCloud, Google Drive).

  • OR move it to an external storage device (like an encrypted USB drive).

  • Do not rely only on your iPhone’s internal storage.

1.5 Do Not Refresh Page During Wallet Generation

While your wallet keys are being created:

  • Do not refresh the browser or close the app.

  • Interrupting this step may cause key generation errors and result in a non-functional wallet.

1.6 What If You Can’t Find the Backup File?

During onboarding, if the app asks to upload the backup file and you can't locate it:

  • Press “I did not download the backup” at the bottom of the screen.

  • Follow the instructions to repeat the backup step.

2. How to Locate Your Backup File on iOS by Browser

Once you've downloaded your wallet backup, you’ll need to upload it during onboarding.
Below are the steps and file locations depending on the browser you used.

Chrome (iOS)

  1. Press Generate My Wallet

  2. Tap Generate my backup file

  3. Tap Download backup

  4. Tap Save to Files, choose a location (e.g., On My iPhone → Chrome or another folder)

  5. Upload the backup file — your browser may open the Files app

  6. Or manually go to:
Files → On My iPhone → Chrome → Downloads
    or check under Recent

⚠️ Chrome does not auto-save — you must confirm the file location manually using “Save to Files”.

Brave (iOS)

  1. Press Generate My Wallet

  2. Tap Generate my backup file

  3. Tap Download backup

  4. Tap Save to Files, select destination (e.g., On My iPhone → Brave → Downloads)

  5. Upload backup file or manually locate it via:
Files → On My iPhone → Brave → Downloads
    or check Recent Files

⚠️ Just like Chrome, Brave requires user input to save the file. No automatic saving.

Safari (iOS)

  1. Press Generate My Wallet

  2. Tap Generate my backup file

  3. Tap Download backup

  4. A download icon will appear near the URL bar

  5. Tap the icon → select the file → tap Share → choose Save to Files

  6. Save it to a known location (e.g., On My iPhone → Downloads)

  7. Or access it via:
Files → iCloud Drive → Downloads
or Files → On My iPhone → Downloads (if you changed Safari's settings)

✅ Safari will usually auto-save to iCloud Downloads unless configured otherwise.
