1. Important Security Guidelines Before You Start

To ensure safe onboarding to Stobox 4, please follow these critical instructions:

1.1 Do Not Use Embedded Browsers

Never open the Stobox 4 registration link from in-app browsers like Telegram, Instagram, or other social apps.
Always open the link in a dedicated browser app, such as:

  • Chrome

  • Brave

  • Firefox

  • Samsung Internet

Embedded browsers may block downloads or interfere with wallet generation.

1.2 Know Where Your Files Are Saved

Before registration, verify where your browser saves downloaded files. This will help you locate your wallet backup file.

Typical default locations by browser:

  • Chrome / Brave / Firefox / Samsung Internet:
    Downloads usually go to:
    Internal Storage → Download
    or:
Files / My Files → Downloads

You can also access downloads via:

  • The Files or My Files app (pre-installed on most Android devices)

  • Or directly from the Download notification immediately after saving the file

✅ On Android, most browsers automatically save downloaded files to the “Downloads” folder unless changed in settings.

1.3 Backup File = Access to Your Funds

Your wallet backup file is the only way to recover access to your wallet and funds.Stobox adheres to a strict recovery policy to protect user privacy. If you lose access to your backup file and do not have it stored securely, it is not possible to restore your account or recover data. This ensures that sensitive information remains secure and unrecoverable without explicit user control.

  • If you lose or delete this file, your funds will be permanently lost

  • Stobox cannot restore your wallet or access your backup file

  • It's your responsibility to store this file securelyThe system relies on this file to verify ownership and access permissions, making it a crucial element for recovery. Handwritten representations, like seed phrases written on paper, are not valid for account recovery.

1.4 Backup File Storage Recommendations- Regularly verify the accessibility of your backup file to ensure it's intact and recoverable.

  • Always create multiple backup copies and store them across secure locations like encrypted cloud storage and external drives.

After downloading the file:

  • Move a copy to secure cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox with encryption)

  • OR store it on an external SD card or USB drive (if your device supports OTG)

  • Consider renaming the file clearly and placing it in a protected folder

⚠️ Never rely on keeping the file in “Downloads” only — it can be deleted automatically by some cleaner apps.

1.5 Do Not Refresh During Wallet Key Generation

While the wallet is being generated:

  • Do not refresh the page

  • Do not switch tabs or close the browser

  • Any interruption may result in a broken wallet that cannot be used

Losing your backup file has irreversible consequences: your funds will be permanently inaccessible. Always ensure these vital elements are stored securely to prevent such scenarios.
