How customers can book from your online Storefront

Learn the experience your customers have when they book on your Stora website.

Updated over 6 months ago

In this article, we explain how the customer booking experience works on your Storefront.

Customer experience

Customers will visit your Online Store, select a Site, and then Select the Unit Type they need by pressing Book Now.

The customer will then complete their booking form. This collects:

Personal details

  1. Customer name

  2. Email

  3. Mobile phone number

  4. Address

Subscription details

  1. Move-in / renewal date (change date range in Site edit form)

  2. Contents insurance cover level (Can be turned off for each Unit Type)

They must then confirm they've read your Terms and submit the form.

Payment details

They're then taken to Stripe to enter their payment details.

Booking confirmation

When the booking is made, the customer will be greeted with the confirmation page below. The customer will be asked to set a password and complete online check-in (should this be turned on—learn more about check-in options here).

The customer will receive this email with a link to Complete Checkin Now if turned on.

If Stora Check-in (Identity checks and contract signature) is on, they will be asked to complete these steps after setting their password.

Operator experience

At the point of booking, you will receive an email to confirm that a booking has been made.

You will also see the upcoming subscription on Stora. You can find this by selecting the Subscriptions tab and selecting Upcoming.
