Customers may sometimes request to change their payment date to a specific day. This article explains how to update the payment date on a subscription using Stripe.
Change the payment date to a future date
Use these steps when a customer wants their future payments taken on a different date than today.
1. Go to the customerās subscription in Stripe.
2. Click Update subscription.
3. Scroll to the Free trial days section and click Add trial days.
4. Enter the number of days until the next payment should be taken.
ā ļø Make sure prorate charges is turned off and reset billing cycle is unchecked.
5. Click Update Subscription to confirm.
You can then view the upcoming invoice to make sure the details are correct.
š” This will generate an invoice for Ā£0.00, and the trial will end in the number of days you set.
