Creating Tax Rates

Learn how to create and manage tax rates

Each site can now have different tax rates configured for it. Once configured, you can select which line item a tax rate should apply to Unit Types or Insurance/Protection. You can configure multiple taxes per line item. You can also opt not to configure any taxes if no taxes are required.


How to create a Tax Rate

To start, go to Settings and select Tax.

Select Create a Tax Rate.

Fill out the appropriate information and press Create Tax Rate. Please note that once a Tax Rate has been created, the % amount cannot be changed.

Next, go to Sites, select the Site you wish to edit and select Edit Site. Scroll down to the Tax section. If your Site already has Tax Rates set up you will see these here, if not select Add a Tax.

Finally, apply the appropriate Tax Rate to Unit Types and Insurance/Protection and save the form.

Note:

  • Once a Tax Rate is created the percentage cannot be edited. If you need to change the percentage, you must create a new tax rate and apply it as above.
