SF Bus & Bus Charters

This article has information about the SF Bus, Bus Tickets, Shuttle Bus, luggage allowances, bus schedule, and more!

Updated this week

What is a Private Charter Bus Pass?

Private Charter Bus Passes should be purchased if you charter a private bus or have a vehicle with 9 - 24 people onboard. If you have a big crew of mates and want to charter your own bus we recommend Coach Hire.

This is not a bus service run by Strawberry Fields.

  • All individuals on the bus must have a valid festival Ticket to enter

  • If you have a hired driver, they do not require a festival Ticket, but will be asked to hand in their driving license at the gate and must leave immediately after drop-off. They can collect their license at the gate as they leave.

All Private Charter Buses will be directed to Bus Stop 2 which is dedicated for drop-offs and pick-ups, they can NOT drive freely within the campgrounds.

Is there a SF Bus?

Yes, we will be running the SF Bus again with routes from both Melbourne and Sydney both to and from the festival.

All Tickets are one-way so make sure you select the correct destination/ time and select a return journey.

Tickets are non-refundable and we can not action changes. Please check the website for details about SF Bus luggage and alcohol restrictions.

When are SF Bus Tickets going on sale?

Tickets will be available as part of The Ballot drawn on 1 July 2025 and also as part of the Limited Public Sale.

Will more SF Bus times be added?

Maybe. The SF Bus is always popular because it’s CHEAP, SUSTAINABLE, SAFE & HASSLE FREE. As buses sell out we will aim to add new times.

However, please note this is based on bus availability and there is currently a shortage of buses/drivers across Australia, so we can’t guarantee new times will be added. =

We recommend booking early to avoid missing out and DO NOT leave it to the last minute… especially if you want to be travelling with friends in a group.

Are there luggage restrictions for the SF Bus?

Yes the below restrictions apply.

Pack smart and light.

There will be only enough room for:

  • one large suitcase + one standard backpack OR

  • the equivalent amount of luggage per person on the bus

We understand you may need to bring camping gear, but please do your best to pack smart and light within the volumes provided.

Alcohol limits:

  • 2x six packs (12 cans of beer, cider or premixed) OR

  • a 2L cask of wine per person

Trolleys must be folded flat to be stored in the bus luggage compartment.

Strictly No Gazebos, No Glass, No NOS, No illegal substances. Banned items will be confiscated.

Be smart and label your luggage!

Consider camping rentals, Glamping & Pre-pitched camping and packing together as a group if travelling with friends.

What times will the SF Shuttle be running to/from Tocumwal and do I need to buy in advance?

You can find the SF Shuttle Bus timetable on our travel page. Tickets can be purchased from the Info Tent at the festival or pre-booked for Thursday/Friday on Humanitix if you are taking public transport to Strawberry.

Where do I get on the SF Bus in VIC/NSW?

Thanks for choosing our eco-friendly travel option 😄

All SF Bus Ticket buyers will be sent an email with the exact location on where to board the bus for their relevant location.

Make sure to arrive 30 mins before your departure time so we have time to get everyone onboard in a timely manner. Buses will NOT wait for anyone who is late.

Are there bathroom stops on the SF Bus?

Yes, all SF Buses will make planned bathroom stops to/from the festival.

Please be respectful to the driver and your fellow passengers. If you do head to the bathroom during a stop, make sure you are aware of the time the bus plans to depart and which is your bus (there could be multiple at the stop).

If you spot the person next to you hasn’t returned from the bathroom and the bus is planning to depart be a legend and please notify the driver asap.

I'm getting a taxi/ chartering a bus do I need a vehicle pass?

Yes.

All vehicles entering the Strawberry site require a vehicle pass to offset carbon emissions, this includes taxis and private charter buses.

Please make sure you buy the relevant vehicle/bus pass based on the number of passengers in the vehicle.

Taxis/ private charter buses can only drop-off/ pick up from Bus Stop 2 in the East Campgrounds. They can NOT drive around campsites freely.
