Transferring Funds in Street

Within Street there are two features for transferring funds.

This article focuses on transferring funds between your bank accounts within Street. For information on transferring between ledgers, see here.

Transferring Funds Between Bank Accounts

The transfer between bank accounts feature allows you to move funds from one bank account in Street to another.

An example of where this may be useful is if you have multiple client accounts and need to move money between them. You can simply transfer the funds to ensure Street matches what's happening in your physical bank account.

Note - To transfer funds between bank accounts you will need to be a Company Admin with access to the accounting permission. For more information, see our User Management help article.

How to transfer funds

To transfer funds between bank accounts, head to the Bank Accounts page (left side panel in the Accounting section) and click the three dots on the account > Transfer.

First, ensure the bank you want to transfer from is selected in the 'transfer from' section.

Next select the bank account you want to transfer funds to, enter the amount to transfer and enter a description that will show in the account transactions page.

You will see the breakdown of how each accounts balance will update following the transfer.

Note - It is advised to make the transfer from your bank accounts at the same time as transferring in Street.

When you're ready to proceed, click Confirm Transfer and the funds will move between accounts. This will create a debit on the 'from' account and a credit on the 'to' account. These transactions can then be reconciled after importing your bank statement.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
