Payment Receipts
If you manage your client accounting within Street you have the option of enabling payment receipts that will send an email with the receipt attached to your tenants when you receipt their payment via the Receipt and Reconcile workflow. This is particularly useful if you want tenants to receive rent receipts.
Note - This feature currently only works for tenant payments and only if you receipt payments via the Receipt + Reconcile workflow. If you receipt money directly onto a ledger, a payment receipt will not be sent.
Additionally, if you are still receipting via the old workflow, using the Outstanding Transactions page, then Payment Receipts will not be an option.
Enabling Payment Receipts
To get started head to Settings > Company Settings > Accounting > Payment Advice & Statements > General Settings.
Note - You must be a company admin to access this setting.
Here you will find the toggle for payment receipts and can toggle this on.
Payment Receipt Email Notification
With payment receipts enabled you have the option of customising the notification content.
Head to settings > branch or company settings > notification preferences > edit notification content > accounting > 'payment receipt tenant' where you can edit the content and include various merge fields, as well as what the email the receipt is sent from and what email replies should go to.

Additionally you can control how payment receipts are sent individually per tenancy from the tenancy page > settings.
When are Payment Receipt Emails sent?
A payment receipt email is sent when you receipt a payment onto a tenancy ledger via the Receipt and Reconcile workflow, after clicking the 'reconcile' button.
This email will contain a PDF attachment of their receipt.
Note - It is not currently possible to edit / customise the format of this payment receipt.
You can also view a copy of this receipt from the tenancy ledger via the three dot menu on the right of the receipt > view payment receipt.
